I never thought I’d be the one to say it. I’ve never particularly liked jobs I’ve had. I’ve done them, usually pretty well. But I never really felt like they were anything more than jobs. Now, I can’t wait for school to be out for the summer. Not because I don’t enjoy school — I do. I love learning and being involved. But really? I can’t wait for school to be out because I can’t wait to work this summer.
That’s the first time I’ve ever thought that — I can’t wait to get to work. I know it’s new, but I’ve never once actually wanted to be able to work. I guess this means that all of the hard work I’ve done so far and the craziness that is law school is completely and utterly worth it. No more jobs for me. I have a career.
